How to Wear Wedding Rings

Beginning in ancient days, people believed that a powerful vein in the third finger of the left hand had a direct path to the heart. This is why the wedding ring was placed on that finger as a sign of a connection and commitment to the heart. Modern medicine has found that there is no such vein, but the tradition lives on.

For some people, their occupation makes it impossible to safely wear a wedding ring during their job. People such as surgeons can fit into this category. For those people, wearing their wedding ring on a chain around their neck during work is slowly becoming a more acceptable alternative. While wearing a ring on ones hand is preferred, it is ones partners well-being and the shared love that matters most.
