Wedding Flowers
The wedding flowers and decorations are limited only by the imagination of the bride and groom. Although, of course, the groom is more likely to be concerned with the cost and sticking to budget than the actual flowers.
This is the time when the bride can and should enlist the help of her wedding party. They will often bring ideas that she has not thought about, and can provide a break when things are getting out of hand!
The flowers should be thought about after the wedding attire has been chosen, as this is probably what drives the theme and color scheme of the whole wedding. Once the bride has agreed a color scheme and knows what she is going to wear, then the flowers are one area where she can get as creative as she likes!
Remember, that flowers are not needed for every decoration in the wedding. If costs are beginning to get tight, then table decorations can be made from other, less expensive items. These include balloons and candles, which may help to keep the overall cost down, which may mean the difference between getting the wedding bouquet that the bride wants and having to compromise.
Another way of keeping within budget on the flowers is to do some research and find out what flowers are in season when you are getting married. By using seasonal flowers, it means that they are more readily available and do not have to be especially sourced, which can often be expensive. The bride to be can also consider padding out some of the floral decorations with extra greenery and baby's breath.
Apart from the brides bouquet, there are the boutonnieres and bouquets for the rest of the wedding party to be considered and allowed for in the budget. Usually they will all follow the same color scheme and theme of the wedding. Once the wedding ceremony and photographs are over, it is acceptable to use some of the bouquets for extra table decorations, for example on the cake table.
It is possible to keep costs down by making some of the decorations yourself. Pew bows are a good example of this as they are not too difficult to make, and again, the bride can enlist the help of her wedding party in some of these tasks.
