Wedding TransportationWhen you are considering your wedding transport, do not think that it has to be traditional. Many prospective bride and groom do not often think further than the traditional limousine when they think about transporting themselves and their attendants to the wedding ceremony. There is, of course, nothing wrong with a limousine, but do not be afraid to think of other less traditional methods to add interest to your big day. Wedding transport is something that you really do need to book as early as possible into the preparations. On the wedding planning checklist you probably have, it should come just below booking the venue and deciding on the number of guests you expect to invite. The chief thing to consider when booking your wedding transportation is the logistics of the day. How many attendants will you have? Will you need more than one vehicle, or will one vehicle make many trips back and forth. This is information you need to have close at hand when you are booking your transport. Bear in mind, that it is usual for the bride groom and his attendants to get themselves to the venue. Once the wedding ceremony is over, then you need to consider how your guests will get to the reception venue. Some couples decide to let their guests make their own transport arrangements for this, and this is okay, so long as they know beforehand. Otherwise, you may decide to transport everyone and again, this need to be allowed for in your budget. If you decide on this option then you need to decide if you will have a small number of vehicles making multiple trips, or more vehicles at one time. Rest assured though, that once all the guests are present at the reception venue, then the subject of wedding transport is finished with. Apart from a limousine, you may want to consider some other options. These might include, vintage or classic cars, a stretch Hummer or a horse drawn carriage. For the adventurous, you might consider arriving at your ceremony in a hot air balloon. When you book your wedding transport, as with everything, check the contract carefully, and ask about wedding packages. Make sure that you remember to add extras into your budget, and that all the details are confirmed in writing.
