Wedding CeremonyThough wedding ceremonies can be very traditional, you can change more than the music, colors and the flowers. You can choose your favorite clergy (or justice of the peace), choose which readings are used and even personalize your vows. The Officiator Whether you are having a religious ceremony or not, someone has to marry you. If possible, choose a person you respect. Ideally, this is a person who has known you for a long time so they can help you personalize your service. The Readings We recommend choosing readings focusing on love, understanding, hope and commitment. Find a reading that opens your heart and echos your feelings towards each other. Wedding Vows Wedding vows are your statements of commitment. Most churches and temples will let you personalize or at least add an additional vow if you desire it to be so. For example saying how much you love each other such as: "With your deepest love and devotion, loving tender care and support, and strongest friendship ...". These are words that will give you strength over the years and will help your love blossom to even deeper depths.
