Wedding Day CoordinationYour wedding day is most likely to be the most important day of your life. So it makes sense to plan it so that it turns out to be memorable for the right reasons. It stands to reason that the bride will need far longer than the groom to get ready for the big day. She has her make-up to do, her hair, manicure and pedicure, all to ensure that she looks as good as she possibly can on her wedding day. If that is not enough, she then has to get herself into her wedding dress, be sure not to crumple it, and stand in the ceremony looking as though the whole things was no effort at all! Compare this to the bride-groom. He wakes up, or more than likely is woken up, probably has his breakfast made for him. Washes, shaves and no doubt receive help from the platoon of aunts that usually descend on him for the day. A quick comb of the hair and he's all set. However, if only this was the end of what seems like months of preparations. There are other tasks that need to be carried out and checked on throughout the wedding day. There are the decorations, the flowers, checking that the musicians know what is expected of them, and that the venues are ready for the ceremony and reception. Add to that checking that the transport is all in place, and not running late, and it is no wonder that many brides and grooms end up feeling frazzled and irritable on the big day. It may be worth hiring the services of a wedding coordinator for the day, or if possible at least offloading these responsibilities to another trustworthy person. The best man should get the groom to the ceremony on time. He is responsible for keeping the rings safe until they are needed, and he should also have enough money to pay for any expenses on the day. Either the best man, or another trusted person should also have money to pay the balances of any services that are employed, for example, musicians. The bride will usually want to take a few moments to sit quietly with her parents to thank them for their support and to confirm her love for them. Remember, that the things most likely to go wrong on the big day will be small and not even noticed by the guests. If the DJ plays the wrong music, then go along with it, and no one will be any the wiser. Finally, remember that this is your big day. Smile and remember to actually enjoy it!
